The original patio concrete had been laid directly on to the clay ground by the previous installer, and had subsequently cracked. In an attempt to repair this it appeared that the surface of the concrete had then been skimmed with…
For this deck replacement project, we started with a relatively blank canvas . The original deck – presumed to have been built some time in the 80’s, back when clinker brick was fashionable – had seen better days, and with…
This cobbled pathway is behind the house, the back door is also on this side of the house. The ground above the pathway had previously been a slope with no drainage; the pathway would often flood in winter and sometimes…
Originally there had been a concrete path where the new deck is now. Over the last thirty years water had eroded the subsoil from under the concrete allowing the original steps and pathway to fall away and become unsafe. In…
This property is a villa from 1910. The original layout had been an entry way which had a hot water cylinder in a separate cupboard as well as a storage cupboard, which then lead into a very 80’s main bathroom…
The owners were experiencing damp and condensation at the rear of their property due to poor ground levels and lack of waterproofing allowing water runoff to build against the rear wall. To remedy this, we dug out an area of…
Wayne built a retaining wall in my garden. I found him to be very professional, polite, communicative and trustworthy which was very important for me as I have very limited building knowledge. The end result was very well built, sturdy and looked great. Thanks wayne, would definately recommend.
Emma, Mt Albert.
I would just like to thank you for all the hard work you have done at our property. And would be happy for you to provide this letter to prospective clients as testimonial of your excellent work.
The stopping was excellent, precise and carried out in a timely manner. You kept me informed throughout the whole process, and worked long hours to keep us on target time wise due to us wanting to urgently get into the property. Your paperwork and billing was also excellently handled, with progress claims making payment easy and less painful than one bill. You were also happy to help gib, thanks. I might add that you were far better at this than my other builder!
You also carried out work on our exterior wall’s plastering. Again I am more than happy with the workmanship.
I can honestly say it was a pleasure having your smiling face on our worksite. You really do go the extra mile. I will continue to recommend you, as I have already done so to friends, family and acquaintances through work. Best wishes for the future.
Lynn, Cockle Bay
Wayne is multi skilled. He is an excellent problem solver in that he is willing to go the extra mile to understand a problem and then provide a solution. He is a very good communicator.
He solved a garden drainage problem I had endured for years, by designing and building a handsome retaining wall and burying pipes that divert the water which has resulted in the house drying out.. At the same time he built a very good looking path and raised garden beds worthy of a landscaping magazine.
He renovated an en-suite under sloping eaves and subcontracted a glass tradesman who solved a shower wall and door problem in a very confined space.
He also replaced and finished a stairway following exacting design specifications from a stairs manufacturer, and a designer.
Other jobs he has carried out for me are in the area of general property repairs and maintenance.
Wayne let me know if he was held up for any reason and wasn’t able to arrive when he had said he would.
His hourly rate is higher than some other tradies but I believe you get what you pay for and his skill set justifies the rate.
He is honest, very kind all the times.
